Girl Gone Good

Poor dad. He's got a bug and isn't doing so great these days.

Mommy and I have been taking care of him so that he'll hopefully feel better soon. To help him recover quickly, we put on some Van Halen.

I guess it's only fitting that we make this Picture 7/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.

On a random note, mom is super excited about some other things!

First, we've been plotting for so long to collect House of Pinku dresses for Zeldy and I. She was able to find FOUR of them on ThisIsBlythe tonight! Hip hip hooray! We'll be sure to model them as soon as they arrive from Canada! Yay!

Second, a lovely Girl Named Sam dress we'd given up all hope on arrived today!!! Yay! It was postmarked twice with two different dates 2 weeks apart from the same post office. Funny, huh? We think it may have gotten smooshed in a nook or cranny somewhere at a post office on its way here. Those USPS folks can be such silly gooses sometimes!

We're so glad that it made it! This is what was inside!

Ta-ta for now! Mom starts spring classes tomorrow, so she's making me go to bed.

Caught Red-Handed

Mommy caught me red-handed today trying to snag some snacks in the middle of the night. I guess I'm not doing so well on my New Year's Resolutions! Eeps!

And to make things worse, mom had to snap Picture 6/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project when she caught me. How embarrassing!!!

I'll bet goody-two-shoes Zeldy tattled on me and woke mommy up. Sisters!!!

Fiber-iffic!

There are days when you just have to make up words to describe things. Today was fiber-iffic!

Mom and I spent all day with mom's friends, talking fiber. No, not fiber of the Metamucil sort, but more like fabric and yarn. The two absolute best places in Atlanta for fabric and yarn are Intown Quilters and Knitch, and we went to both.

But, of course, friends were the highlight and essential part to the day. Mom got to see some of her goodest friends today and her throat is hoarse from talking nonstop (as she tends to do). I'm going to have to feed her some tea and honey. Tsk tsk.

Mom started off the day having a great time sewing drawstring pouches with Maita. Then, she and Jessica met up with Kristen at Intown Quilters to pick out fabric for some BlytheCon stuff, where Maita and Sarah showed up too! That wasn't the last that she saw of Maita and Sarah, because she and Jessica met up with June at Knitch and got to see Maita and Sarah there too! What fun!

Mom was inspired by some little sweaters she saw at Knitch and promised me she'd try to knit for me someday. Ha ha. When pigs fly! Mom knits backwards anyway, so I'm not going to hold my breath.

While I was trying on one of the little sweaters, mom snapped Picture 5/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project. Sneaky mommy.

Monet Molli

2008 sure is getting off to a roaring start! Mommy had a very hectic day today. So, for dinner, dad took us to Mellow Mushroom for a good ol' pizza dinner.

I thought I'd help mommy unwind a bit by creating a lovely mural for her. See? I am an artiste!

Mommy doesn't seem to agree, but she still snapped a photo to use for Picture 4/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.

I suppose that I'll be spending tomorrow cleaning the walls while mommy gets to hang out with her friends. * pout *

Lump & Chest

Today my new Re-ment lump & chest arrived. All you insiders will know what I'm talkin' about. I like it. It pairs rather nicely with my West Elm Overlapping-Squares chair.

Mom wanted to capture this moment with Picture 3/365 for the 365 Days Blythe Project. So here I am!

Happy Thursday! Tomorrow is Friday and there are plans to go to Intown Quilters and maybe Knitch this weekend. YAY!

Molli Overload

How do I get dragged into things? Mom has entered me into the 365 Days Blythe Flickr project. She promises to take one picture of me each day for the project.

Hmm... We'll see how long it lasts. It's going to be tough, but as Tim Gunn says, we're gonna "make it work"!

So mom counted my second New Year's resolution picture as Picture 1/365. She snapped Picture 2/365 while I was doodling tonight.

Mom: Molli, SMILE!

Me: Mooooom, do I have to? I'm busy!!! I'm drawing!

Me: I can't wait for Gracie to visit Atlanta in February! See? She's going to fly here on a big plane!

Me: And, look, we're going to have so much fun!

Mom seemed to approve because she smiled real big and goofy-like at me. I think she's pretty jazzed, too, that Gracie and her mom will be visiting. Yay!!!

I also forgot to post some pictures from New Year's Eve night with Auntie M and Uncle Oidon! They were such gracious hosts and it was so much fun. Mom ate so much food, we were sure she has stomachs like camels have humps.

Here is cousin Kaede from that night, stylin' a cupcake hat that Auntie M made. Auntie M's hats are B essentials and are available in her Etsy store.

Here is cousin Misuzu. I think she's so pretty. I hope Zelda doesn't get too jealous!

Thankfully, Zelda looked great, too, that night because she finally got to wear the House of Pinku dress that mom has been saving for a special occasion. Zelda-pants was quite pleased.

And, one more EXCELLENT bit of news! Dad has promised Zelda and me a new house!!! It is the Ikea Granemo cabinet. It will be bigger than the townhouse they are currently renovating, so Zelda and I get to draw up new house plans. Yippee - how exciting!!!

In exchange, mom has promised to never ask for pink or purple walls ever again in their (human) house. Don't feel bad for mommy, Zelda and I call the shots 'round these parts. He he.

Hugs to all our wonderful friends out there!

Resolutions, Schmesolutions

Mom told me that, around this time of year, rascally girls (as Louos calls me) like me should make resolutions. I suppose it couldn't hurt.

Resolution #1: SHARE MORE

I resolve to be better at sharing in 2008.

Mom has already forced this one on me. Mom worked on lots of little dresses over Christmas break. Instead of five dresses, I was only allowed to have one measly dress.

It's OK though. They were for Auntie M's girls. Who better to share with than my cousins Sakurako, Kaede, Misuzu, and Chestnut Head?

Resolution #2: SHOW RESTRAINT

I resolve to restrain myself with sweets and cupcakes in 2008.

OMG. Did I just say "restrain" and "cupcakes" in the same sentence? Noooooo!!! * sob *

I am going to have to eat as much as possible before 2008 officially begins. Hee hee.

Resolution #3: SHAPE UP

I resolve to get in shape in 2008.

I'm going to get all Olivia Newton-John up in here! Zelda's laughing because she insists I'm more Richard Simmons than Olivia. I'll show her!

What? One of the cans is empty? I'm not being lazy! I promise!

Happy New Year everyone!!!
