Mommy Can Has Cheezburger

Last Wednesday, Gramma and Grampa J came to stay with mom and dad. They were on their way up to O-Hi-O for a family reunion.

Gramma and Grampa brought lumpy nuts as a gift. They look a little sticky and powdery... But at least they're not Schwetty Balls.

Zelda and I were awful suspicious, but mom and dad ate them up like candy. There are barely any left.

Surely, the We're Nuts people are up to something because those praline pecan things sure seem addictive... too addictive...

I have taken a sample for testing. I will uncover their plot soon enough.

Dad and Uncle MarkTom left for the reunion on Saturday. Mom has been studying for finals, so she wasn't able to go. It was super boring around the house without dad, so Zelda and I were happy when mom let us go with her to pick him up at the airport.

We were all famished by then so we went to Brake Pad for lunch. It's over by mom's old job. She hasn't been there in ages! Dad had a panini, Uncle MarkTom had a buffalo chicken sandwich, and mom finally had her cheezburger!

I was totally pooped at lunch, but Zelda was still full of energy.

How in the world is she my sister? We're nothing alike!

We Love Harry Potter

Mom and dad did some work around the house to today.

Dad worked on the yard while mom worked on the bookcases. If they made noises, it would sound like "putter, putter, putter..."

Zelda and I hope mom works real hard on the bookcases because we get to move our apartment there once it's done.

Yippee - a bigger apartment is on the horizon!

After a really yummy dinner at Chipotle, we went to Barnes & Noble to buy Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Zelda and I have already started reading...

Ssshhh - no talking until we're done!

The Arrival of Cousin Sakurako

Auntie M and Uncle Oidon have their first girl, Sakurako!

Auntie M had a night out with a group of friends, so she brought Sakurako to play with Zelda and I. She is a My Best Friend and is so lady-like and pretty.

Sakurako, Zelda, and I had a really good time together. We played "dress-up and pig-out".

I must have tried on 3 different outfits tonight. Since I like Claudia's Le Petit Boutique clothes, mom let me wear my Super Fun-Fun Dottie Micro-Mini. Yay! Mom made Zelda a whole new outfit and Auntie M sent Sakurako with some of her own pretty outfits.

For the pig-out part, we ate cupcakes and chocolate and drank lemonade together. I had so much sugar that I still have the jitters!

Mom, dad, and Uncle Oidon stuck around to make sure we didn't get into too much trouble, but Uncle Oidon ran into trouble with Ultra.

Ultra was in a mean mood and attacked Uncle Oidon's socked feet! What a bad kitty. Ultra really stuck his claws into Uncle Oidon's socks. Can you see the fuzzy loop that was nicked?

Romancing the Molli

She's a girl from the big city. He's a reckless soldier of fortune.

Mortimer sent some chocolates and flowers to make up for not having stopped by in a while. Hopefully, we'll get to spend some time together soon. Maybe when my apartment's finished, he'll be more comfortable hanging out here.

I do love chocolate! It's second only to cupcakes.

Zelda and I went through the box pretty easily by ourselves. Zelda, being so dainty, of course chose the flower-shaped white chocolate. I'm a dark chocolate kind of girl myself.

After all that chocolate, we sure hope that we still fit in our beautiful Le Petit Boutique dresses that Claudia so fantastically made for us! They are so cute and Claudia is awesome!

Mom started setting up an office for us. She wants us to have a place to study so that we can be real smart!

Doesn't she know that we can learn everything we need to know from Sesame Street?

Meeting Uncle MarkTom

Uncle MarkTom was here this weekend. He and dad spent lots of time together while mom hung out with her friends.

Yesterday, mom and Maita made itty-bitty gift bags together. They turned out really cute and they liked them. Zelda and I liked them!

Mom and Maita also played on the Wii together. They laughed and yelled at the TV a lot. Fun times!

Then, today, mom hung out with her friend Beatrix and made cards together. Zelda and I stayed home while mom went out, but she showed me the cards she made when she got home.

Some were better than others. Mom sometimes doesn't know when to stop with details. She always overdoes things - one sequin at a time...

Tonight, mom decided to touch up my makeup. So she remattified my face, took off my lipstick, and gave me a new pull thing. Hopefully she gives me some new blush and lipstick soon. I feel like such a paleface right now!

Mom put a clasp on my pull so that it can hook onto different kinds of charms. I like it. Zelda and I can switch our charms super quick to anything we want! We have four different cupcake charms to choose from!

Do you like the charm I picked out to wear? It's kinda small, so you're gonna have to squint to see it!

Uncle MarkTom bought dad an early Christmas present called Guitar Hero II. Dad seemed to really like it. Uncle MarkTom is really good at it. Dad needs practice, though.

They played so much that there was lots of cheesy rock-and-roll music in the house tonight.

Maybe I'll try it someday! The controller is a bit big for me, though...

Mystery Solved!!!

Mom had two exams tonight so she was pretty tired when she got home. She perked up, though, when I let her know that I found a box on the front porch today.

So we opened the box together and - surprise - it was another dolly! She was wrapped up like a mummy, so we got her out of the plastic bag pronto.

Mom said that she is my new sister and her name is Zelda.

Hmm... Zelda... I have heard many legends about her.

She definitely looks like dad. She has pretty blonde hair and blue eyes. She's super-blushy, too, like dad. Dad is the pinkest person I know. I'll bet she has hairy arms like dad as well.

Zelda was naked as a jaybird when she arrived. All she had on was a paper towel wrap, so I thought I'd share my clothes with her.

After looking at a couple things together, we decided on a pretty dress that mom bought recently.

It's very cute and totally perfect for Zelda. It has baby blue with black polka dots and lace. I let her wear my favorite white boots too since I was feeling so generous tonight.

Afterwards, we went to our apartment for some grub. At that hour, it was only appropriate that we have the preferred late-night food of Asians - hot pot!

My hot pot set is from my lovely Auntie M and Uncle Oidon. They are so nice to me! Thank you!!!

So we ate till our bellies were full and called it a night. I think I'm going to like having a sister!

It's a Mystery!

I am completely puzzled... Every night, mom has been coming home and asking me if a box has arrived.

What is she talking about???

What box???

What's in it???

Where is it coming from???

She must be up to something!!!

<shifty eyes>

The Sweetest Hats Ever!

Yay! Today we went to hang out with Auntie M and Uncle Oidon at the Atlanta Soapbox Derby.

Next door to Auntie M's booth was Allison and Bridget.

Allison makes Bettie Page art and Blythe necklaces. Bridget is a Mademoiselle Rosebud.

Bridget hung out on a swank red bubble chair. I didn't have a cool chair. I just rolled around in crocheted cupcakes. I still have icing in my crack.

It was so hot and humid out. I sweated buckets. You know it's HOTlanta!

Auntie M made a bunch of cupcake hats for someone in the UK. They are the cutest!

(Here I am modeling them for her.)

She will be selling them soon and they will take the world by storm!

The cupcake hats are totally cute. They comes in all kinds of color combinations. They also come plain, flowered, or strawberried. Very cool.

The pink and purple hats are MINE and I love them!

She also made a yummy hot dog and some really cool cakes. It was more than I could eat.

Cupcakes Take the Cake

Mom was in a really really bad mood tonight, but we hung out for a little bit and it seemed to cheer her up some.

I burped the alphabet for her. I don't know the whole thing yet, so I only got to Q. I'll finish the rest someday.

Mom had class tonight and she had some very bad things to say about federal taxation when she got home. She's none too pleased with entity taxes right now. Let's hear it for the Fair Tax!

She made cupcakes tonight for a work thing tomorrow.

Then I snagged one when she wasn't looking. Ha!

I Can Has Cheezburger?

Josh and Sunil came to hang out with mom and dad today for July 4th. Josh lives in San Francisco, so dad misses him. Dad tries to be manly about their PLP (Platonic Life Partnership), but I'm sure I saw them holding hands when mom wasn't looking.

We had tamale burgers, chicken, cucumber salad, fruit, and key lime pie. There was so much food that Sunil could barely finish all his food. Mom threatened to squash him if he didn't finish his pie. Good thing he ate it all. That could have been messy.

While dad Wii'd with the guys, mom made me two dresses. One of them is made from Heather Bailey's Freshcut fabric, vintage velvet ribbon she bought at Lakewood from Grosgrain Annie, and a velvet bow from Auntie M.

My dress would have been perfect if mom hadn't sewn it retarded. One side is full of ruffles and the other has none. It better not make me walk in circles.

Josh showed us the funniest site today: I Can Has Cheezburger?

We Love Auntie M!

Tonight, I was being a good girl. I was at home drinking some tea with the Chinese dumplings Auntie M gave me.

Mommy was at Hobby Lobby picking up purse handles for Auntie M. Auntie M is the creative and crafty brain behind Sweet Honey Complex.

They were on the phone while she was at the store (to make sure she was buying the right ones) when Auntie M let her in on a secret...

My awesome Auntie M has designed and made a CUPCAKE HAT for me!!!

Can you believe it???

<frantically running in circles>

I'm so excited!

<jumping and kicking the air>

Mommy's so excited!

<looking around wildly>

We can't wait to see what it looks like!

<out of breath>

Anyone that knows mommy and I knows that we are totally obsessed with cupcakes - the cutest food ever known. There is no better food. We could eat cupcakes all the time! Mommy even has a little fake cupcake and sweets collection.

We will see Auntie M at the Atlanta Soapbox Derby this weekend, so we can't wait. Mom and dad always like to hang out with Auntie M and Uncle Oidon. They are funny and have similar interests to mom and dad.
