Just two more days to go for our SF recap! I know you guys are ready for something new soon. Here's Day 5...
In the morning, Josh rented a Zip Car and took us around to see the sights.
Our first stop of the day was the Ferry Building. The food was amazing. If we lived in San Francisco, we could definitely go every weekend.
We bought some nuts and pottery for gramma and grampa J, and mommy bought me a cupcake at Miette. Yay! Too bad Miette's cupcakes don't taste as good as they look, though.
After some great bentos from Delica rf-1, we went to see the Golden Gate Bridge...

We were totally pooped by that point and went back to The Parsonage to rest a little bit before dinner. Of course, we really wanted a pre-dinner snack. Doesn't everyone???
We stopped in at Bi-Rite for an ice cream cone. What flavor? Salted Caramel, of course!!! That has to be the most delicious ice cream we've ever had. Amaaaazing!
It's not really salty at all, but just so slightly sweet and totally delectable. We loved ours paired with the Roasted Banana flavor. I was in love!
After that, we met up with Josh and caught the Muni to have a wonderful birthday dinner for daddy at Millenium in the Tenderloin. Mommy snapped Picture 38/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project to remind us of how much we love mass transit.
Millenium was so completely amazing. Mom and dad are super-cheapskates, so it was definitely the nicest place we'd ever eaten. But, boy, was it worth it! Josh made a fantastic choice.
Millenium is the most creative and delicious vegetarian food we've ever had. Mom doesn't really like beets or radishes, but loved them at Millenium. Amazing, right?
I don't think that Josh reads this blog, but we really want to thank him for everything. We loved hanging out with you and can't wait to see you again.
Well, that's pretty much it for Day 5. We'll have something new for you soon, hopefully! Ta-ta for now! Mom is feeling awfully sick these days, so we're signing off.

San Francisco - Day 4
Hi again everyone! Sorry that our San Francisco recap is taking so long... Mom is really pokey with helping me blog.
So Day 4 started out in a really tasty way. We met up with Josh in The Mission and he took us to the much-acclaimed Tartine for delectable, flaky, buttery yumminess.
Everything looked so incredible that mom ordered enough to feed a circus. I guess you could call me, daddy, and Josh a circus. Anyway, she bought a croissant, a lemon cream tart, and a grougere. Everything was amazing and the croissant was the most amazing we've ever had!
I like you because you're oh-so-good!
Every bite is so buttery and yummy...
Afterwards, we took a fun cable car ride to Musee Mecanique. I wish I had a picture to share, but mom and dad got to ride on the outside of the car and they had me tucked away for safety. They had a great time, though, even though it was a touristy thing to do.
Musee Mecanique is one of the coolest places ever! It's a huge collection of extremely cool vintage coin-operated amusement machines. Think Zoltar from the movie BIG. They were so rad (as long as you don't mind the slight creepy factor).
One machine piqued my interest... I was hoping that Naughty Marietta would have some new pranks I could play on Zeldy and Ramona. Mommy made me pose for Picture 37/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project before I could ask her about Naughty Marietta. I think she was up to something...
Me: Mommy, may I see Naughty Marietta do her stuff?
Mommy: Well, let me make sure it's OK first...
Me: Why wouldn't it be OK?
Mommy: We'll talk about that when you get older... * looks * It's OK - you can look!
Me: Yay!
Me: * peeks * Eeeeewwww!!! MOOOOOM!!! Gross!!!
Mommy totally tricked me! I saw yucky girly bikini pictures and didn't learn any new pranks at all!
There was a really cool photo booth and mommy thought that I might feel better if I got to take some pictures.
She was right - it did make me feel better. I laughed so hard at some of the pictures that my belly hurt.I couldn't get them right, so I had to keep going back to the guy for more change to take more pictures. Apparently, the guy that made change doesn't have a name.

And the absolutely BEST machine in the house was a Bimbo Box. How can you not love monkeys that play Herb Alpert?!?!
After Musee Mecanique, we caught a tour of Chinatown.The San Francisco Chinatown is awesome! It's HUGE!!! There is so much to see and there is so much history.
I think mom was happy to see so much that related to her culture. We don't see so much Chinese stuff in Atlanta.
After the tour, we caught a yummy vegetarian meal. Everyone really enjoyed it. We had potstickers, eggplant, and chow fun. Mmmm mmmm!!!
And then we had the absolute best Chinese egg tarts (dahn taht) we've ever had at the Golden Gate Bakery. They were so perfectly flaky, warm, and custardy! I could eat them everyday. Yummy!!!
After that, Josh left us while he went to brush up on some guitar before his class.
Mom, dad, and I walked to the Haight. We stopped in at Kidrobot again for more zipper pulls and then mommy checked out Goodwill and Giant Robot while dad was at Amoeba. Mommy found a vintage Polaroid camera for just $2.99! Whee!!! And dad found some fantastic tunes!
Afterwards, we meet Alice, Paul, Angela, and Nathan for dinner at Cha Cha Cha and ate wings, potatoes, plaintains, mushrooms, and more 'til we were stuffed!
Yay!!! What a wonderful day it was...

San Francisco - Day 3 (and a Present-Day Blythe Meet)
We're going to do a little time travel today, a la Lost. Let's start by jumping back to the San Francisco trip...
San Francisco - Day 3
In the morning, mom and dad took some time to explore the Haight. Mom stopped in at Kidrobot to buy some more zipper pulls. They are currently my pull charm of choice, so mom has been really nice to buy them for me when I'm behaving. Because I love Labbits so much, mom snapped Picture 34/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project while we were at Kidrobot.
Then Josh called and so we went to meet him in The Mission. Josh drove us and Sunil all the way to San Jose for the Computer History Museum.
Daddy loves anything geeky and computer-related. Besides Maker Faire, this was the highlight of the trip for daddy.
It's amazing that computers have changed so much so quickly! They had all kinds of computational and storage devices from throughout time. The abacus, the UNIVAC I, the Apple I, the Speak 'N Spell... It was awesome!
For some nourishment, we went to In-N-Out for a burger and fries. Of course, Alice had tipped mom off to have her burger Animal Style - YUM! Truly the most excellent fast food we'd ever had...
Our other friend, Mic, went back to Maker Faire for the day, so we met up with him at Josh's place and then went to Osha for dinner. Josh is so cheesy! He launched this one while we were at the restaurant: "They must have a really safe workplace here!" Ba-dum-dum-ssshhh!
Mom and dad love Thai food and mom is always a sucker for pad thai. She just can't order anything else.
And, now, let's jump forward to the present day...
Atlanta Blythe Meet!!!
We were joined by the lovely Dolli*Fever and Mrs. Plum for our meet at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. There were ten humans in all and they had a great time with us dolls, though one dolly meet crasher was quite interesting!
We had a lot of fun anyway and decided to give other passersby something to really gawk at!
And thank you so so so much for all the lovely gifts Dianne, Jessica, and Kristen. We sure did enjoy each and every last bit of them!
I was so happy to get to hang out with some of my best dolly buds. I haven't had a chance to see them in a while and I've missed them dearly. Here I am with them! (Pssst - Lola has a narcolepsy/sleepwalking problem.)
And even though Butterbear is a BEAR, he is apparently afraid of the bugs and what-not. So this was the only acceptable solution for him. Silly Butterbear! To commemorate my love for Butterbear, mom snapped Picture 35/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.
On another note...
Mom is super-glad that Auntie Becca's birthday present made it! Yippee! Mom tried to send it without postage! Silly mommy... Thankfully, the post-person was kind enough to let mom know of her goof. To remind herself of all her silly moments, mom snapped Picture 36/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.

San Francisco - Day 2
To continue along the recap of our San Francisco trip... Here's Day 2!
Daddy spent the day at Maker Faire with the "dudes" while Mommy and I met up with the wonderful SF Blythe folks at Frjtz Fries. We met so many super people and it was loads of fun.

The food was excellent as well! Cat brought so many delectable sweets and mom had yummy fries with spicy yogurt peanut sauce.
After Frjtz, we walked over to Dolores Park to spend more time with dolly friends and enjoy the view.
Afterwards, we made a quick stop at The Pirate Store! Yep - you read correctly! Neat, huh? The store actually supports 826 Valencia, a children's writing and literacy project, which is a wonderful cause.
They had lots of interesting things to get into... like lard...
and mysterious drawers filled with interesting objects...
and shrunken heads...
The fun didn't end there... No sirree!!! We went on to Japantown to check out the Kinokuniya bookstore. We loved pretty much all of JT, but Kinokuniya, Ichiban Kan (thanks for the tip, Amytha!), Sophie's Crepes, and Super7 were our favorites.
Mommy snapped Picture 33/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project while we were at Japantown.
Alice and Angi are mom's friends from the 5th grade, when they all went to school together in good ol' DeLand, Florida! Mom was so happy to see them again. It was just like old times. And Alice didn't even mind having me around. She actually gave mom a copy of Blythe Style as a gift! Thank you so much, Alice!
For dinner, Alice, Paul, Angi, mom, dad, and I for a great meal at On the Bridge, a western style Japanese restaurant. We ate and ate until we thought we would burst...
and then we went for crepes!!! Ha ha!
Yep, you will start to notice that San Francisco is the perfect city for us. There is so much to see and do and the food - oh, the FOOD! If we lived there, we would surely be as round as a beach ball! Don't worry, the playing/eating continues and we'll update you soon. Stay tuned, my friends!

San Francisco - Day 1
Yay - we're finally home and mom has sorted through all the zillions of pictures from the San Francisco trip! Since there are so many pictures, I think it might be better to blog each day separately.
It all started off with a reeeeaaally long plane ride. We flew from Atlanta to San Francisco on Delta and it went very well. I had a lot of room to stretch my legs and Butterbear seemed pretty comfy as well. Mom made me smile for Picture 32/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.
While we were there, we stayed at The Parsonage. It was very comfy and they are so nice there. It turned out that the innkeeper, Ariel, likes dolls too!
Our room was the Julia Morgan. It has a really neat bathroom with an apothecary cabinet.
A lot of the drawers were labeled with super-mysterious things. I found "shampoop" to be quite interesting even though mom says it's really "shampoo POWDER". Yeah - riiiight...
That night, mom and dad met up with Josh, Sunil, and Mario for some drinks at The Orbit Room and Sushi Delight right down the street. The Orbit Room's drinks were miiiighty interesting (ginger syrup and pomegranate and mint and stuff).
