Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah

Zip a dee doo-dah, zip a dee ay
My, oh my, what a wonderful day.
Plenty of sunshine headed my way.
Zip a dee doo-dah, zip a dee ay.

There is change in the air these days... Mommy'll need to make a big decision soon, and Daddy, Zeldy, and I are going to be her biggest supporters. Hopefully mom will agree that lots of sunshine is coming our way.

Thankfully, through all the craziness, we have family and friends to cheer us on. There are too many to name, but you all know who you are!

Somehow mommy says that she captured sunshine and friendship for Pictures 14/365 and 15/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.

This is it for tonight. Mommy's feeling very drained so I need to tuck her into bed now.

Talk to you all again soon!

I Can Has Unazukin

Yay! I'd been eyeing the little pink Unazukin that Auntie M gave mommy for Christmas. Since mommy got her own this weekend, she said that I could play with the mini-Unazukin!

She commemorated this moment by snapping Picture 13/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.

I like mine more than mommy's because it always nods and tells me yes!

Me: Unazukin, will I have cupcakes today?

Unazukin: * nods *

Me: Unazukin, do my feet stink?

Unazukin: * nods *

Me: Unazukin, do I have lots of boogers?

Unazukin: * nods *

D'oh!!!

Video Killed the Radio Star

Today was a super fun day filled with interesting things!

At first, I thought that mom and dad dragged me out of bed just to go buy textbooks (* yawn *), but it turned out that there was lots more than that. Of course, we DID buy some stinky textbooks, but that was really just the beginning.

On our way to Little 5 Points, we saw the most interesting thing... There was a TV sitting on a utility pole plastered with bands' posters and stickers. Yep - video must've killed the radio star.

Mom and dad went record shopping at Wax 'N Facts. They picked up classics such as Barry Manilow, Lionel Richie, and Herb Alpert on vinyl. They also found the new Pinback CD.

Then they stopped at Criminal Records so that mom could pick up an Unazukin and the latest Owly.

Unazukins are adorable little Japanese toy fairies that are like little Magic 8 Balls, but so much cuter! Auntie M gave me a cute little pink one, so mommy wanted to find one for herself. Daddy picked out this one because she's orange, which is his favorite color.

Our friend Jessica told mommy about Owly and she is now on her way to buying every issue for us to read together. Owly is a sweet and kind owl that makes the world a better place through kindness, friendship, and perseverance. What a wonderful and inspiring role model Owly is (not to mention cute)!

Then we went for lunch at Chef Liu. We had all kinds of yummy foods like onion cake and dumplings. We would eat there for every night if we could. Since it's too far away, mom and dad stocked up on frozen dumplings instead. Those are a nice substitute.

Later on that night, it was Zelda's turn to go out and she went with them to dad's company holiday party. Yep, they do their party in January! Interesting!

Mom and dad had a caricature done at the party by Lo'Vonia Parks.

Any of you ever wonder what mom and dad look like? Well, here they are!

I assure you, mom is not this pretty and dad is much more handsome.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Hugs and kisses to you all from all of us!

All Bundled Up

Mommy took me to work today so that I could keep her company. She's been working on some really intense analyses so she liked having me around.

For the trip to work, mom bundled me up like a little pig in a blanket. Two jackets, a hat, a scarf, AND tights! It wasn't even cold out, but she insisted. I have a crazy mom.

I was complaining so much that she snapped Picture 11/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project to remind me of how much she has to put up with.

Helper Molli

Mommy and Zelda tell me that it's about time I earn my keep around here, so I helped mom with her ironing tonight.

She has a big basket of newly washed fabric. It's all fabric that she uses for sewing projects. She wants to make sure the fabric is pre-shrunk and clean before sewing. So the last step remaining is ironing and folding.

Mommy was so astounded my my helpfulness that she snapped Picture 10/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project while I was ironing. With a great helper like me, look at the progress she made tonight!

Yay! Tomorrow is Friday! Mommy says I get to go to work with her.

Sweet! That means I get to take a ride in my fabulous body bag from SewPixie Designs. Whee!!!

Toodles all! Hugs to all our friends out there!

My Leetle Beetle Surprise

Mom is swamped with work and school and stuff. When she came home, she was too tired to entertain Zelda and I. So I thought of something that might be fun (at least for me)!

I have a leetle pet beetle...

Do you like him? He has big pincers. Very fierce.

I put my pet beetle in Zelda's bed. She likes surprises. No, really, she does!

* grin *

Even though mom scolded me, I can't help but think she's just slightly amused because she took our picture together for Picture 9/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.

Mommy is looking tired and pale these days. I think we need to put her to bed. Toodles!

Like Molli, Like Bear

Not much happened today. While mommy went to work and then to class, I hung out at home with Butterbear.

My lovely penpal Loovee and her mom Rima sent him to live with me this past Christmas. I love him bunches! Butterbear misses Hawaii, so I cuddled him lots so that he'd feel better.

Butterbear's starting to take after me, don't you think?

He's growing up so quickly that mom wanted to capture us together as Picture 8/365 of the 365 Days Blythe Project.
